First Hawaiian Bank Officer Promotions

(Honolulu, Hawaii, November 12, 2003) – First Hawaiian Bank Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Walter A. Dods, Jr. announced the following officer appointments:

Dale T. Kobayashi to vice president and manager, Institutional Client Relations. Kobayashi joined First Hawaiian in 2002 as vice president and senior investment officer of First Hawaiian Bank’s money-management subsidiary, Bishop Street Capital Management, a position he still holds. He is a graduate of Punahou School, earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California and a master’s degree from Yale School of Management.

Demaney C. W. Kihe to personal banking officer, Kaneohe Branch. Kihe joins First Hawaiian from Hawaii National Bank where he was a commercial loan officer. He is a graduate of Castle High School and earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.

Brian Asamoto to systems officer, Information Technology.  Asamoto joined First Hawaiian in 1996 as a programmer analyst.  He is a graduate of Waipahu High School.

Michael Verity to equity analyst, Bishop Street Capital Management. Verity joined First Hawaiian in 2002 as an investment specialist. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Claremont McKenna College and an MBA from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Verity is an associate member of the Hawaii Society of Investment Professionals.
