New Senior Vice Presidents Promoted at First Hawaiian Bank
(Honolulu, Hawaii December 21, 2004) First Hawaiian Bank Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Walter A. Dods, Jr. announced the promotions of eight new Senior Vice Presidents. They are:
Alan H. Arizumi, who was also promoted to manager of the Corporate Hawaii Division. A graduate of McKinley High and the University of Hawaii, he joined the bank in 1983.
Michael A. Coates, manager of the Transaction Management Department. He has been with First Hawaiian since 1995 and is a University of Hawaii graduate.
John S. Fujimoto, deputy general auditor, Audit Division. Fujimoto, a graduate of Roosevelt High and the University of Hawaii, joined First Hawaiian in 1996.
Keith H. Nagata, manager of the Business Services Division. Nagata, a Kauai native, earned a degree from Purdue University and an MBA from the University of Colorado. He joined the bank in 2003.
Carol M. Ono, manager of the Operations Research and Development Division. Ono joined First Hawaiian in 1988. She is a graduate of Pearl City High and holds bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Hawaii.
Guy J. Shindo, manager of the Asset Lending Department. He is a graduate of Leilehua High and the University of Hawaii. Shindo joined First Hawaiian Creditcorp, a former sister company of the bank, in 1986. He moved to the bank when the companies merged in 1998.
Craig T. Smith, manager of the Real Estate Appraisal Department. Smith first joined Pioneer Federal Savings, a former subsidiary of First Hawaiian, in 1992, and came to the bank four years later.
Mark S. Taylor, manager of the Financial Services Center. Taylor is a graduate of Moanalua High and Princeton University and earned a master's from Harvard University. He joined First Hawaiian in 1990.
