Your Personal Profile tells us about you and includes your contact information. Once you create your profile you may update it anytime with or without applying for jobs.

  1. How Do I Begin?
    • You must first Register and Login before you can create a profile or apply for jobs.
    • Review the Consent to Electronic Disclosures Information and then create a Username and Password and click Register.
    • You can update your profile anytime by clicking the "My Profile" link.

  2. Create Your Profile as Part of the Job Application Process
    • An application is a detailed version of your profile that contains links to the jobs you are applying for, and is saved in connection with your profile at the time you submit it or save it for later. Set up your profile by clicking the Apply Now link from "My Saved Jobs" or selected job description.

Contact Information

  1. General Data
    • General contact data is requested when applying for the first time. Data includes email address, phone number(s), profile status ,etc.

  1. Update Your Contact Information

    • Click on My Profile link on the Job Search Home page or the Careers Home page to updated information. Click Save when you are finished.
    • Updated information is automatically reflected on all applications previously submitted ensuring the data reviewed by recruiters is the most accurate.

Profile or Application (Main Page)

  1. General Data
    • The Profile or Application main page is an important part of the recruitment process. It serves as your personal document when applying for positions and provides the bank with valuable information when considering you for employment. You may also attach a resume for additional background information on you.

  2. Preferences
    • With many opportunities available, specifying your preferences is helpful to ensure the appropriate match for positions. We prefer you provide as much information as possible particularly with geographic location and availability.

  3. Attaching a Resume
    • If you wish to attach a resume with your application, you may upload it, or copy and paste it into your profile. Although the contents of your resume may have similar information to what would be requested for the profile, we ask that you complete the profile fields. The required fields have an asterisk.
    • Only one resume may be attached to the application or profile. If you have multiple resumes depending on the position, Recruiters and Managers will only see the resume attached to the profile or application they are viewing.
    • For uploaded resumes, acceptable file formats are: doc, pdf, rtf and txt, and the file size should not exceed 1 MB.
    • For text pasted into the resume field, the character limit is 32,000.

  4. Adding Your Qualifications
    You may enter additional information in the following sections:
    • Work Experience. For current employers, either enter the date of your applications or leave the end date blank. If you enter "To Present" you'll receive an error.
    • Education History. Enter the appropriate state of the school (or change the country if you need to). Click on the magnifying glass in the School field for a list of nationally listed schools.
      • Select the appropriate school by clicking on the name; this will then return you to the Add Education History detail page.
      • If your school name is not displayed, click Cancel to return to the detail page, and enter your school name in the Other field.
      • Enter your major and degree for each school.
    • Referral Information. You're required to complete this section for each application you submit since we continuously track the most effective recruitment resources for potential employees. Remember to indicate the initial source of referral to our bank. For example, if you saw the job opportunity in a print ad but apply online, the resource should be the print ad.

  5. Applicant Questionnaire
    • General questions are provided to assist in our recruitment process. Please answer each question appropriately. Answering these questions are not determining factors for selection or non-selection for the job you are applying for.

Eligibility and Self-Identification

  1. Self-Identification:
    • You have the option to provide your gender and ethnic group. This information is used only for governmental reporting requirements and will not be considered in any employment decisions.
    • Review the terms and conditions and click on "I agree to these terms" or "I disagree to these terms".
      • If you agree, the Submit button will appear. Click on submit and proceed to the next page.
      • If you disagree, the Submit button will be grayed out. Click on the Return to previous page link. Disagreeing will not affect your application from being considered for employment.

Review and Submit

  1. Submitting your application and profile
    • Click the Submit Application button to officially submit your application and profile.
    • To save your application as a draft, click the Save for Later button.
    • To cancel an application before submitting it, click Careers Home. Your application will not be saved as a draft, nor will the jobs you selected be linked to your profile. Your profile information will be retained where you'll see this information the next time you update your profile or apply for jobs.

  2. After you submit your profile or application
    • You will receive a confirmation email stating that your updated profile or application has been received by First Hawaiian Bank. Please do not respond to this email.
    • You can view what you submitted on the My Applications page.
