What is eStatements?
eStatements is a feature of the FHB Online® banking service that allows you to access eligible account statements online. eStatements offers the following benefits:

  • Speed: Faster delivery of statements – no need to wait for the mail.
  • Security: Secure electronic delivery – no statements in your mailbox where they can be stolen.
  • Convenience: Up to 12 months worth of historical statements available online for easy download, storage and archiving – no need for file cabinets, boxes or space to store them.

Who can view eStatements and how much does eStatements cost?
eStatements is available for FREE to all personal and business customers enrolled in the FHB Online service. You have the option to sign up for eStatements and discontinue your paper statements, sign up for both eStatements and paper statements, or keep/resume paper statements.

How do I sign up for eStatements?
eStatements is only available to customers through the FHB Online service. If you are not currently enrolled for FHB Online, visit www.fhb.com and click on the “Enroll” button under “Online Banking” in the upper left-hand corner of the screen. If you are already enrolled for FHB Online, sign onto FHB Online and click on the “Statement” button located next to each eligible account. Follow the 5-step sign up process:

  • Step 1 Email Confirmation – Confirm your email address on file.
  • Step 2 Electronic Disclosures – Accept the "Consent to Receive Electronic Disclosures".
  • Step 3 eStatement Agreement – Accept the FHB Online eStatement amendment.
  • Step 4 Confirmation of eStatement Access – Review the sample statement and enter the code provided to confirm you can properly view eStatements.
  • Step 5 Statement Delivery Preferences – Select your delivery preference for each eligible account.

What account statements are eligible for eStatements?
eStatements are available for the following statement types: checking, money market checking, Priority, Combined Statement, College Plus and Yes-Check.

How long will statements be available online?
Up to 12 months of statements will be available online beginning with statements for April 2006. Paper copies of older statements can be requested by sending us a message through the Alerts/Messages function with the subject “Request Copy of Statement”.

How do I view my eStatements? Do I need any special software?
eStatements are available to any FHB Online customer with an eligible account. Simply click on the ‘Statement’ button on the Home, Accounts, or Account Details pages. You can view, print or save copies of eStatements. You can also change your statement delivery preferences at any time. You do not need any other hardware or software to view eStatements than what you use to access FHB Online; however, we do recommend that you disable any pop-up blocking software enabled on your web browser.

Will I be notified when new statements are available online?
Yes. You will be notified by ISP email each time a new statement is available for viewing online. Should your email address change, please update your FHB Online email address under Preferences and click on the ‘Statement’ button to ensure it updates your eStatement email delivery address. Please note that if we are unable to successfully deliver our eStatement notifications to you for two months in a row, your eStatements will be disabled and your paper statements will resume. You will need to provide a valid email address before re-enabling eStatements.

How do I disable eStatements and resume receiving paper statements?
You may disable eStatements by clicking on the ‘Statement’ button on the Home, Accounts, or Account Details pages and clicking the ‘Statement Delivery Preferences’ link at the top of the window. Select ‘Paper Statement Only’ for the account(s) for which you wish to disable eStatements.

Will this affect check copies I currently receive in my statements?
You will be automatically enrolled for CheckStorage when you signup for eStatements. Should you disable eStatements and want to resume receiving your returned checks, you may either visit a branch or send a message via the Alerts/Messages section within FHB Online.

What does an eStatement look like?
eStatements are simply electronic copies of your account statement. eStatements contain the same account information as your paper statement and look virtually the same. eStatements are available in either HTML (for online viewing) or PDF (for printing and saving) format.
