I just enrolled in Online Banking and can see my account balances, but have no past account activity. What happened?
With Online Banking you will immediately see most of your account balances when you enroll. Your last statement transactions will be available to you within 2 business days. As transactions post to your account, you can view them from your enrollment date going forward. You will eventually be able to see all activity for the current statement period and (if applicable) at least the prior 3 months of FHB Online account history.
How do funds transfers work?
You can schedule single, future dated or recurring transfers to and from your First Hawaiian checking, savings, money market, credit card and line of credit accounts.
Funds transfers into loan accounts (including credit cards and mortgages) are credited as payments. Each transfer made from a credit card or line of credit account is treated as an advance from that account and is subject to the terms of the applicable Credit Agreement.
You cannot transfer funds from a mortgage or installment loan, or from or into a certificate of deposit, IRA or Christmas Club account. You cannot transfer funds directly from your overdraft protection account, although you may access it through overdrafts on your linked checking account.
When are funds transfers processed?
Funds transfers made through Online Banking will be processed on the date you specify up to a year in advance. Funds transfers scheduled for the current day will be processed immediately for checking, savings and line of credit accounts.
What are recurring transfers?
Recurring transfers are transfers between First Hawaiian Bank accounts that can be set up to be made on an ongoing basis. For example, if you transfer $500 from a checking account to a savings account on the 3rd day of each month, you can now set up an automatic transfer to be made on the 3rd day of each month for as long as you wish, or even indefinitely. You can also transfer at specified intervals, e.g., weekly, bi-weekly, quarterly, etc. Recurring transfers will eliminate the need for you to log in to FHB Online multiple times to perform the same transaction.
What are future-dated transfers?
Future dated transfers are single transfers that can be scheduled up to one year in advance.
What is the maximum funds transfer I can make between my accounts?
The maximum amount of any one transfer is the lesser of the current available deposit or credit balance in the source account (plus any available credit in an associated Yes-Check line of credit that may be linked to your checking account) or $99,999.99.
When is Online Banking available?
In general, Online Banking is available day or night, 7 days a week. The system may not be available between 11:00 p.m. on Saturdays and 4:00 a.m. on Sundays Hawaii Standard Time for routine maintenance. There also may be periods of unscheduled maintenance.
What is the difference between the current balance and the available balance for my deposit accounts?
