First Hawaiian Bank Announces Two Promotions

Gina Woo Anonuevo Promoted to Vice Chair and Chief Administration Officer and Cameron Nekota Appointed to Senior Management Committee

Honolulu, March 10, 2025 - First Hawaiian Bank (FHB) announced that Gina Woo Anonuevo has been promoted to Vice Chair and Chief Administrative Officer and Cameron Nekota has been appointed to First Hawaiian Bank’s Senior Management Committee. In their new positions, Anonuevo will lead the Human Resources, Digital Banking and Services, Enterprise Technology Management, and Enterprise Data and Analytics divisions; Nekota is responsible for Bank Properties, Commercial Banking, and is also the President of the First Hawaiian Bank Foundation.

Cameron has played an integral role at the bank and brings a well-rounded community perspective to the Senior Management Committee.”

Anonuevo joined FHB in 2006 as Executive Vice President and General Auditor. She later served as Chief Compliance Officer before being appointed to the Bank’s Senior Management Committee in January 2015. Prior to joining First Hawaiian, she worked as an FDIC Examiner, bringing valuable regulatory experience to her roles. She is also a member of the First Hawaiian Bank Foundation board and currently serves as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors for the Hawaiian Humane Society. Anonuevo earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from California State Hayward University and is a graduate of Pacific Coast Banking School in Seattle, Washington.

Nekota also serves as the President of the First Hawaiian Bank Foundation and organizes the distribution of annual gifts to Hawaii-, Guam- and Saipan-based non-profits. He is a board member of The Queen’s Health Systems, St. Andrew’s Schools, and Nā Kama Kai, and serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors for the James Campbell Company, LLC. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa and a Juris Doctor from the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa William S. Richardson School of Law.
