First Hawaiian Bank Announces Five Promotions
Honolulu, March 27, 2024 - First Hawaiian Bank Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer Bob Harrison announced the advancement of five individuals.
Ben Kashiwabara, Senior Vice President and Manager, Commercial Income Property, Commercial Banking Group. Ben Kashiwabara has been promoted to senior vice president and manager of the Commercial Income Property Department in First Hawaiian Bank’s Commercial Banking Group. He is responsible for managing and overseeing the commercial real estate loan production of this Department. Kashiwabara has 36 years of commercial real estate lending experience specializing in commercial income property real estate loans that are tenant occupied. A graduate of Iolani High School, Kashiwabara earned his Bachelor Science in Business Management from Pepperdine University. He currently serves on the Moiliili Community Center Board of Governors.
Martha A. Lee, Senior Vice President and Region Leader, Private Banking Division. Martha A. Lee has been promoted to senior vice president and region leader of First Hawaiian Bank’s Private Banking Division. She is responsible for the daily management and oversight of the bank’s East Oahu, Guam, and Big Island Private Banking Teams. Lee has 40 years of banking experience. She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. She is a current member of the Kahala Business Association and the University of Hawaii Rainbow Warriors Basketball Club. Born and raised in Hawaii, Lee currently resides in Kahala.
Benjamin J. Schuster, Senior Vice President, Engineering Technologies, Enterprise Technology Management Group. Benjamin J. Schuster has been promoted to senior vice president, Engineering Technologies in First Hawaiian Bank’s Enterprise Technology Management Group. He will primarily be focused on digital transformation, open banking, software engineering, and overseeing the complete technology transformation of digital, CRM, and API platforms throughout the entire organization. He has 13 years of experience in finance and technology. Schuster earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Miami and is a member of the CFS Guild. A native of Kokomo, IN, he currently resides in Punchbowl.
Jonathan C. Lucina, Senior Vice President and Consumer Product Operations Manager, Consumer Products Division. Jonathan C. Lucina has been promoted to senior vice president and consumer product operations manager of First Hawaiian Bank’s Consumer Products Division. His responsibilities include the oversight of the operations for the bank’s consumer loan, line of credit, debit and credit card, and process enhancement teams. He has 20 years of SME experience in card operations and system implementations. A graduate of Hanalani Schools, Jonathan earned a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing Management from Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC. Born in Wahiawa, he currently resides in Ewa Beach.
Jerelyn A. Sullivan, Senior Vice President and Investment Officer, Institutional Advisory Services. Jerelyn A. Sullivan has been promoted to senior vice president and investment officer of First Hawaiian Bank’s Institutional Advisory Services Division. She is responsible for institutional client servicing focusing on investment management for businesses and captive insurance companies. She has over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry. Sullivan earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and her Master of Business Administration from Chaminade University. She currently is a board member of Hawaii Captive Insurance Council. Born and raised in Hawaii, she currently resides in Ala Moana.
