First Hawaiian Bank Opens New Līhu‘e Banking Center to Serve Garden Isle Communities

Honolulu, April 15, 2025 - First Hawaiian Bank (FHB) announced the opening of its new comprehensive banking center at the Hōkuleī Village shopping center. This state-of-the-art, full-service location offers a wide range of personal and commercial banking services, along with financial advisory support.

Spanning 7,800 square feet, the new banking center is designed across two buildings, connected by an open-air breezeway and a courtyard landscaped with beautiful native plants. The complex includes modern amenities such as private consultation rooms, and a spacious open lobby designed to enhance customer service. Customers also have 24/7 access to two no-envelope deposit ATMs, a night depository, and a secure self-service safe deposit box room equipped with biometric entry.

“At First Hawaiian Bank, we believe in building strong relationships with our customers,” shared Bob Harrison, Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer of First Hawaiian Bank. “Our new Līhu‘e Banking Center is more than a branch, it’s a long-term investment in the people and businesses of Kaua‘i, and a heartfelt commitment to being a part of this vibrant community.”

First Hawaiian Bank designed the branch with customers in mind, offering unique features that prioritize ease of use and accessibility. The advisory building is home to the branch’s commercial banking, mortgage, wealth management and private banking services. It features offices, a conference room, and open meeting areas with a quiet atmosphere conducive to planning and strategizing. The courtyard and breezeway provide protected and comfortable spaces for customers to meet with our FHB team in a more relaxed, open-air environment.

FHB is careful to create a sense of place that honors and connects with the community. Our design process builds on the history and fabric of each location while also embracing modern and sustainable building practices to mitigate environmental impacts and ensure the banking center’s longevity. The project, which broke ground in 2023, features PV solar panels, a backup battery system that coincides with two EV charging stations, onsite bicycle parking, and drip irrigation. The branch features low-e insulated glass, an insulated roof assembly, energy-efficient light fixtures, low-flow toilets, low-VOC interior finishes, long-lasting terrazzo flooring, and an exterior of precision block.

Located at 4454 Nuhou Street, Suite 1000 in the Hōkuleī Village shopping center, the banking center hours are 8:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m. Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. Saturday, and closed on Sunday. For information on branch locations and hours, visit locations.fhb.com.
