First Hawaiian Bank Pearlridge and Waikiki Branches to Re-Open November 2; All Oahu Branches to Return to Regular Business Hours

Bank to Re-open Two Oahu Branches and Eliminate Lunch Hour Closures

HONOLULU, October 26, 2020 – First Hawaiian Bank (FHB) today announced that on Monday, November 2, 2020, it will re-open two branches on Oahu – Waikiki and Pearlridge – that were temporarily closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, bringing the number of open branches to 50 out of 58 locations. These branches were selected based on customer needs and are part of the Bank’s latest phase of its re-opening plan, as well as the state’s move to Tier 2 of its plan to ease COVID-19 restrictions.

FHB’s open branches on Oahu will also resume regular business hours on October 26, 2020 with the elimination of the lunch hour closure.

The Waikiki and Pearlridge Branches will return to full-service operations including notary by appointment, wire, foreign currency exchange, customer engagement and servicing, business banking, and wealth advisory consultation. The Pearlridge Branch will also continue to serve as a redundant operations center during the ongoing pandemic.

Starting on Monday, November 2, customers will be able to complete transactions and receive service at the following branches:

  • Waikiki Branch – 2181 Kalakaua Ave, Honolulu, HI 96815
  • Pearlridge Branch – Pearlridge Center, 98-1071 Moanalua Rd, Aiea, HI 96701

The Waikiki branch will operate Monday – Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and is closed on Saturday and Sunday. The Pearlridge Branch will operate Monday – Friday 8:30 to 4:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 1 p.m., closed on Sunday.  Kupuna hours will continue during the first hour of business daily. Masks are required to be worn in all FHB branches and offices. Customers can assist with creating a safe environment for everyone by abiding by the social distancing guidelines outlined at each location, and using the hand sanitizer stations available at each branch. For the health and safety of customers and employees, FHB is also limiting the number of people inside the branch and are encouraging all customers, whenever possible, to take advantage of FHB Online and FHB Mobile Banking options to access accounts from the safety and convenience of their own home.
