- CD promotions are available to customers who have a First Hawaiian Bank personal or business checking account at the time a CD account is opened. The minimum deposit to open a First Hawaiian Bank personal checking account is $20 and $100 to open a First Hawaiian Bank business checking account.
- To take advantage of the promotional APYs, you must be one of the following at the time a CD account is opened and identify yourself as such: (1) A Personal or Business Priority Banking Platinum Checking Account customer; (2) Be enrolled in the Private Banking program; or (3) Be a grandfathered PrimeTime/Primera Gold or Platinum member. The minimum deposit to open a Personal Priority Banking Checking Account is $20 and $100 for a Business Priority Banking Checking Account. PrimeTime/Primera program was discontinued. PrimeTime/Primera members as of May 27, 2022 were grandfathered to qualify for the CD promotional rates.

If you do not qualify for the Bonus Interest Rate for a monthly cycle, the base interest rate (“Interest Rate”) will apply. - Minimum opening deposit of $50,000 directly into the MaxiMizer Account is required within 5 calendar days of opening through (1) a check drawn on another financial institution, (2) an external transfer from another financial institution; or (3) a wire transfer from another financial institution. A transfer of $50,000 from another First Hawaiian Bank account does not qualify. It will take up to three (3) business days for the MaxiMizer Prime rate to apply to the account, until then, the MaxiMizer rate will apply.
- MaxiMizer balance tiers stated in the Important Terms and Conditions and Schedule of Charges are amended as soon as the MaxiMizer Prime Rate is applied to your account. MaxiMizer Prime balance tiers will apply thereafter. Tiers will revert to the MaxiMizer balance tiers once MaxiMizer Prime Rate is removed.
